A hilarious incident that teaches a good lesson - "Think twice before you act". How a simple act of ignorance can lead to stupor!
My mom got off my bike when I got a call from Sandy, my friend. I was driving my mom to her friend's place for a party and she knew that I had to pick up the call and would talk to Sandy at least for 15 minutes.
Some boys were roaming around in the street and I felt that they wantedly walked by my side. I kept on talking on the phone and noticed that they were watching me but it didn't bother me.
People stare!
After a few minutes when I finished, I moved my hand to start the bike but I couldn't find the key! The key was inserted but it wasn't there at the moment. I looked for my mom but couldn't find her too! Then it struck me that she had gone home. She made gestures showing that she is going inside the house. I just didn't know where the key was.
I looked at the boys and they were still staring. I understood that they had taken off the key. I was surprised and just couldn't understand what to do. I called out the shop owner of the side shop. He was talking to another man in the shop. The owner of the shop knew me well and so he came out to help me. The boys ran away seeing the shop owner come out and just then my mother too had come into the scene.
My mother asked me what had happened and I said her that the bike keys were with those boys. And what she said next, stunned me. "The key is with me," she said! Uncle started laughing and I felt really embarrassed. My face was red with embarrassment and anger too! Couldn't my mother inform me that she was taking the key as well. She said that I told you "Iam taking the key as the house door key also is with it. You didn't listen."
And by this time that another man had gone to bring the boys back! Mom said the man that we had got the keys and apologised the boys for the inconvenience. The boys weren't vile at all. They just went away without causing any ruckus. I then apologised for the mess I had created and fled away.
The last few days of the school.
Recollecting all the beautiful days.
Memories cherished!
Hurray! Hurray!!
The teacher is absent today.
Substitution period
was the most superior.
Sitting on the last bench,
laughing at the student on the first bench.
But they too are not less,
when they join the others during the recess.
Passing the tiffins from the last row,
For eating, under the bench they bow.
The students in the first wizard,
find their teacher's birthday in their ID card.
But now, will these days be there?
No! No! This is going to be a nightmare.
Some are teacher's pet,
others used to regret.
The best one is the lunch time
when everyone would shine.
Some are always whatever 'perfect'.
Some are for 'out you get'!
Gonna miss these funny days,
ten friends eating a pack of lays.
Sharing of only one tiffin box,
and trying to open the cupboard locks.
Your days are here,
and now ends your high school career!
AN ALLEGORY
My brother and I had been out for a walk. The day had been unpleasant for him after some bitter words by father for his low scores in the examination. He had always been the same angry young man after such scolding and saying “You see, When I grow up, I shall be rude to both mommy and daddy so that they understand how it feels!”
I was attuned to hearing this and had always tried to make him realize that what he thought was erroneous but he was firm. But that day was not like any other.
I saw an old man assisting a man of nearly 30 years who had many bandaged body parts. It seemed obvious that the old man was his father and was helping him to exercise his legs.
The man might have met with an accident some days back and got seriously injured. This instance could make a beautiful allegory, I thought. I nudged my brother and pointed out at the two men. I narrated him my assumed story and added “It’s not always the father who is depended on his son at the end. We never know how circumstances may change! You see how this father is helping his son to walk. The son in his teens might have thought to become the stick of his father when he gets old or may be to be rude as you do but his plans didn’t work with the circumstances. Whatever be the cause, however be his child, a man will always love him with his heart.”
By the time, we reached home. My brother didn’t say a word, never spoke about it again but I feel that will endure in his mind forever.
MOM!
The weather was extremely hot this summer and anyone who travels in the scorching heat would long for something refreshing and cool. I came back from my classes and went to my room directly when my mother called me out and handed me a glass of fresh fruit juice with water droplets on the outside.
It was gratifying to have it but unfortunately the glass slipped from my hand and the juice splashed all over the ground. Mother came out of the kitchen and looking at the spilled juice stared at me in anger.
"I already have very little work to be done, right,?"she said.
She went back to bring something to clean it up. "Can't you handle things properly? Look what you've made me do,"she screeched.
She was continuously yelling while telling me about the neighbour's daughter who always helped her mother with the household chores.
Oh yes, I was sorry for what I did but I was even more sorry for the juice I spilt. I went to my room silently.
After a few minutes, my mother came up to me with another glass of juice! I was delighted. Not for the juice this time, but for my mother who still brought me another glass with all her other works besides this.
"Now handle this with care," she said and left the room.
