No doubt
that the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions are necessary. But, do you think it is
practically, a good idea?
As per the restrictions, only provisional stores, and grocery shops would remain open till noon. This actually increases the crowd in every provision and grocery store. Physical distancing has to be followed by the customers, but do we, the Indian customers really follow it?
We all must
have experienced this discrepancy and in fact, the shopkeepers have to
constantly badger the customers to maintain physical distancing.
Having the
stores opened for the whole day, on the other hand, didn’t experience the same
rush. Customers could come at any time without rushing and buy products at
their ease. Probably physical distancing was easier at that time.
The same
applies for a bank too, where 50% employees are only available to attend the
same number of customers as during the Pre-Covid period. (In this era of
Internet Banking, there are customers who still prefer going to the bank even
in the urban areas, and sometimes we have to go for certain things!)
In my view,
the Government should probably look over these aspects before imposing such
restrictions.
